we offer facilities and development tools to farmers in the region. Through this initiative, we deliver sustainable fertilizer coming from our farms, an essential resource for crop growth.
At Mocochá experimental Field located in the state of Yucatán, specialists from the Instituto Nacional de Investigaciones Forestales, Agrícolas y Pecuarias (INIFAP) conduct tests to evaluate the benefits of applying the fertilizer.
Among the benefits provided by the product is the reduction of costs for producers, since its use generates more vigorous and productive plants, as well as the development of beneficial microorganisms that maintain soil productivity.
Sustainable fertilizer is the result of the incorporation of ecotechnology and innovative strategies in our processes, which allow us to take care of the environment and become allies of the people of the countryside.
The training provided to farmers in the region has the purpose to teach them how to maximize this resource, thus benefiting the economy of local farmers.
a technified pig breeding and reproduction farm located in Maxcanú, Yucatán, ten apiaries were established, one of which serves as a demonstration center for best practices in honey production and the other nine are operated by beekeepers from Kinchil, a municipality adjacent to the headquarters within the state.
is the installation of the apiaries in the surroundings of the permanent technified irrigation zone covering the endemic flora and vegetation over more than 100 hectares and where the water treatment system of the pig farm is operationally concluded, showing demonstrable and tangible results in these first four years of this initiative.
Having participated in the last national competitions of the Asociación Nacional de Médicos Veterinarios Especialistas (ANMVEA), from 2021 to the 2024 edition, a total of three first places, four second places and a third place have been achieved in the category of “Amber liquid honey”, among 7 producers born in Kinchil and one for the company’s demonstration apiary.
The above reflects how treated water, a byproduct generated from the pig farm’s technified processes, benefits the maintenance and conservation of native and honey-producing flora. This flora is essential for bees to pollinate and produce Yucatecan honey, which each year ranks among the best in Mexico.
All this has been possible due to the training and support of the Mexican authorities, who, through the Secretaría de Agricultura since 2022, recognize and certify the good production practices of beekeepers year after year, applying the adequate standards for this important environmental and productive work.
Additionally, the scheme contributes to the development and promotion of beekeeping in the region, as well as generating support for the family economy of the producers, who market their crops with better practices and, as a result, with better quality.
