Well-being and health in communities

We are part of the equitable development of the communities where we operate.

In addition to promoting secure employment for families, we also implement strategies in health, the economy, education, and culture.
Through educational programs and alliances with institutions, we offer the necessary tools so that people can obtain more opportunities in their locality.
We promote access to quality health services by implementing prevention campaigns, free medical consultations through the opening of Health Care Centers in the communities.
It is about joining forces, teaming up and working together with the authorities and, naturally, with the people. Throughout more than 30 years, we have made many advances towards our social responsibility.

Kekén's social responsibility:

Self-employment

One of the greatest concerns of families is definitely their economy, therefore, we initiated itinerant training in alliance with federal agencies promoting self-employment.
The social responsibility we have with communities positively impacts youth. With the implementation of informational visuals for addiction prevention among high school students, with broad participation from various schools in the municipalities.

Specific objectives:

  • Promote young people from Yucatan towns to develop a responsible and healthy life plan.
  • Promote the distinction of “Schools that promote a life free of addictions.”
  • Create community support networks that promote the prevention of the use of addictive substances.
  • Promote youth leaders who are aspirational role models for their peers and who drive community improvements.

Health

Health is the cornerstone of all social development, reason why we continue to conduct programs destined to take care of our communities with free, high quality medical services with check-ups to prevent ailments such as diabetes and hypertension, among others.
With our Medical Attention Centers (CAM Kekén) and Health Fairs, we accomplish our mission of contributing to the government’s efforts to bring free health services to the most remote populations in the state.
